Nana P Diary Part 3

Hi Jessica, sorry it’s been a while since I wrote to you; it’s sometimes difficult to find a good campsite with internet access. So we write what we feel at the time and wait for a campsite that we can download our stuff. No chance you’ll understand this so don’t worry. In a few years you will be telling me the latest things on the internet I’m sure. Two things I want to tell you about this last week, firstly Grumps birthday. I knew he wasn’t going to have his ‘normal’ birthday at home with all the family with lots of cards and pressies. So I wanted to make sure I could make his day as happy as possible as we were on the road.

His favourite wine region is Bordeaux, so I wanted to be sure we were in that region for his Birthday and we made it. We enjoyed lunch sitting outside by the Gironde River and then had a nice meal in the evening, making sure he had his favourite bottle of wine ‘Chateaux Cantermerle’. We then sat outside the van whilst he smoked his Cuban cigar and some Cognac that we bought from the local vineyard the day before. So Grumps had a good day all in all.

Whist I know that the blog is a fairly simple affair, but it was only really intended for our friends and family back home. With the issue we have getting a reasonable internet connection as we travel from country to county, I am currently trying desperately to get a Portuguese 3G dongle to work with Windows 7, and my limited knowledge of wordpress this is about the best I can do with the time I have. I am after all more interested in my travels than a website. But thanks for the feedback and link.

Maybe once we settle down a little and have sorted reasonable internet access we will update.
